Graphs of Sine Functions
|
This project involved determining the graphs of trigonometric functions using computer software. Computer programs (information technology) was used to identify correlations in trigonometric variables. Through this project, greater understanding of graphing/mathematical software was attained. This reflected use of information technology to interpret the systems of trigonometric functions. We investigated how to make the software interpret our results, and created solutions for the remainder of the problems. The use of technology greatly affected how we found the solutions to the problems, and the speed and accuracy of obtaining those solutions. |

Greek Mythology
|
This project involved creating a Spanish newspaper based on Greek mythology. Information research was conducted using computer applications and the internet (a technology system) both on Greek mythology and Spanish language structure - another system (preterito imperfecto). Creating the newspaper allowed me to become more familiar with graphics and word processing capabilities of Microsoft Software and allowed for endless revisions evaluation and editing before arriving at a final draft (create a solution). We also investigated how to use the adobe software for graphics and final copy. Using advanced technology allowed for more information to be obtained quickly, and great ease in manipulating the final product to create a digital and physical product. |

Scientific Contributions
|
Some scientist guy had prolific contributions in medicinal neurology. In this project, my research paper incorporated uses of computer technology to obtain a variety of investigation sources through the use of computer encyclopedias and internet and database research. Using the computer applications and technology to create a solution to the assignment - the paper - allowed for exact quotations to easily be incorporated in the paper. The project related ideas of approaches to learning through technological aspects. The paper was submitted to 'Turn it in.com' - a system that ensures against plagiarism. I have included systems to the parts of technology, because the project was about neurological systems. The submission to TurnItIn.com was a system technology as well. |

Religions Presentation
|
A classroom presentation on a 'type of religion', using the computer technology of Microsoft PowerPoint was the solution created for this project. The various social systems were investigated by delving into religious cultures. Much of the information was obtained through computer research and I learned to utilize newer features of powerpoint. The presentations using the new version of this computer software made the presentation (solution) more effective for me as a presenter, and more interesting for the audience. Once again, the information available online is almost endless - the sources of that information need to be critically analized before accepting them as 'fact.' |

Play for Act 1, Scene 1 (Shakespeare Play) My group and I are creating a DVD that
render ours 'modernized interpretation' of The amount of planning that was required in order to incorporate the actual filming was more than anticipated. The project turned out alright - although I am not sure whether any of us has the patience to use this technology on a daily basis! |

Powerpoint -- Ancient
Civilization - same drill as for the earlier presentation:
A classroom presentation on a 'ancient civilation', using the computer technology of Microsoft PowerPoint was the solution created for this project. The various social systems were investigated by delving into ancient cultures. Much of the information was obtained through computer research and I learned to utilize newer features of powerpoint. The presentations using the new version of this computer software made the presentation (solution) more effective for me as a presenter, and more interesting for the audience. Comparing 5 major religions
|
This project was interesting but very challenging! I decided to create my solution using an interactive Flash MX album that showcased differences of 5 major global religions. The presentation used flash elements to sequence data, an interesting feature that explores graphic presentation. Learning to create this format took some extra time to investigate and create the solutions. The technology definitely affected the visual impact of the final product. Evaluating the use of our time to incorporate this new system of presentation we did feel it was worth the investment. |

Exploitation Project
|
This project, which sought to demonstrate an understanding of exploitation in the 20th century, used computer media to accrue information and demonstrate understanding through yet another powerpoint. More effective methods of researching through computer media were developed. We streamlined the research to sources that we knew were accurate and trusted from the start. There was a material portion of the presentation as well where we created a solution with a topographical map of the region using paper mache' to create the contours. During this project, we worked closely as a team, and had to develop effective ways to
This was a communication system where we used our digital lockers in Gaggle, THS Mail to obtain the latest version of the project and update it with our new information to a place where all of the team could access it. This was an excellent tool for facilitating collaborative efforts allowing for an outstanding solution. |

3D Relief Map
|
This was a perfect example of materials technology. We planned and created a 3D Diarama demonstrating pollution -- the relief map incorporated creative uses of resources (including a fog machine) to render a realistic map of the area. | X | X | X | 6
