In addition to the eligibility requirements for participation in athletics, THS students must meet academic guidelines for participation in events that honor students. Students nominated for Homecoming Royalty, Prom Royalty, and students wishing to participate in events including, but not limited to, pep assembly, special activities, powder puff, powder puff cheer, prom fashion show, etc. must not have more than 2 F’s in year-long classes or 1 F in a Block class as of the last progress report. A student’s current year discipline records will also be screened for any major infractions and any documented infractions may result in a student not being allowed to represent THS in the above activities. Administration will screen nominees/contestants. Students involved in music, speech and debate contests must meet CHSAA eligibility requirements. Students will be required to satisfy the 95% attendance policy for all the activities noted above.
