Information regarding ordering graduation announcements, cap and gown, etc. was given out at the senior meeting on October 19th. Orders placed after January 1st will cost more due to more costly shipping charges. If you have not yet ordered your cap and gown, contact “Class Recognition” at 303-341-4269.
There will be a senior class meeting on April 8, 9:00 a.m. in the Auditorium. This meeting covers graduation information, and all seniors are expected to attend, including those who finished their classes Semester 1.
The last day for seniors is May 13, 2009. All work must be turned in by 12:00 noon.
The Senior breakfast is scheduled for May 15, 2009, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Dave & Busters. Ticket information will be available mid-May.
Senior Check-out will be Friday, May 15, 2009, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Royal Gorge. Caps and Gowns will be distributed after confirming all fees and fines have been paid. Save time: check to see if you have fines now (Bookkeeper's Office). Report to the Royal Gorge according to the following schedule: 1:00 p.m. Last names: S-Z, 1:20 p.m.: M-R, 1:40 p.m.: G-L, 2:00 p.m.: A-F.
Graduation rehearsal will be Monday, May 18, 2009, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the Field House. Attendance is mandatory for the entire two hours for students participating in the ceremony. Plan now to be excused from work, if necessary.

FIVE STAR DIPLOMA
A graduating senior of any Adams 12 Five Star School District high school may receive a FIVE STAR DIPLOMA for meeting the following requirements:
Earns 24 credits
Has an accumulative G.P.A. of 3.5 as of the end of the first semester of their graduating year
Receives test scores of proficient or advanced on all CSAP tests
Receives a composite test score of 23 or higher on the state-mandated ACT test given on the required date at the student's school
Meets or exceeds the CDHE requirements, and
Has participated in all state-mandated assessments at the current school while enrolled as a student in Adams 12 Five Star schools.
PARTICIPATION IN THE GRADUATION CEREMONY
To graduate from Thornton High School, a student must earn at least 3 credits during at least one semester at Thornton High School. The student must also be enrolled at Thornton High School during their final graduating semester.
A student who has successfully completed all academic requirements ***(23 credits)*** according to District Twelve policy and is in good standing may participate in graduation exercises and will receive his or her diploma at that time.
