Thornton students visit Metropolitan State University
Multilingual students from both the Newcomer Center and THS visited Metropolitan State University recently to learn about post secondary educational pathways. This is the second of a series of college field trips for students in the THS community. Students had the opportunity to learn about academic programs offered at Metro State as well as linguistic support and college life. We want all of our students to pursue the path of their choosing after high school and being informed about their options is one action step towards that goal.
This story exemplifies our ELEVATE Focus Area: Outside-the-Classroom Learning. Sharing stories about how the district offers students multiple learning opportunities outside the traditional classroom providing various pathways to success.
