High School Information Night

High School Information Night

"Join us for High School Information night on November 17th and 18th to learn about the Thornton High School Odyssey Program. The event will be held at the Adams 12 ESC building both nights from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

The Trojan ODYSSEY allows students to ‘chart their own course’ towards graduation through an individualized pathway. Students will map out their experience, weaving together Advanced Placement (AP) coursework, Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways, Concurrent Enrollment (CE) options, and post-secondary preparation to create a learning experience that reflects their unique goals and passions. The THS ODYSSEY emphasizes exploration and flexibility and, like any great journey, provides support, guidance, and opportunities at every step, ensuring students are well-prepared for wherever their path leads. A few specific examples of this support include Freshmen Foundations and the Newcomer Center. Ninth grade students receive additional support through the Freshmen Foundations class, which focuses on study skills, community, and social-emotional learning, to assist students during the first year of their voyage. THS also has a Newcomer Center, where students have the opportunity to earn credits towards graduation while taking classes specifically designed for students who are new to the United States in a welcoming environment while they develop their English language skills."
