National Finalist Aiyana Urbina

Thornton High School Junior Aiyana Urbina was named as one of 6 National finalists in the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project sponsored by the University of Colorado Law School.  Aiyana and 25 other Thornton students competed in a moot court competition with over 200 students from other metro area schools.  Aiyana was picked by a panel of Lawyers, Judges and law students as one of only 6 students who will represent Colorado at the National Competition held in Washington, DC, in March 2026.  Aiyana's excellently crafted argument defended a student whose 4th amendment rights had been violated by a school.  Congratulations to Aiyana and all of the THS students who competed.
