Thornton High School Homecoming Week Information
Sept 14th-Sept 19th
Welcome back, Thornton High School students and families!
Homecoming Week is almost here, and we have an exciting week of school spirit, traditions, and events planned. Please review the information below so you don't miss any of the fun. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Simnioniw at sim025692@adams12.org.
Important: A student's attendance during the attendance window determines their eligibility to attend the Homecoming Dance. Please review the attendance expectations with your student to ensure they understand the requirements for attending the dance.
Monday, September 14th Spirit day: Dress up as Adam Sandler Day
Tuesday, September 15th Spirit day: Meme Day-dress as your favorite meme
- Homecoming ticket sales during lunches in cafeteria (4th-6th hour)
Wednesday, September 16th Spirit day: Twin day!
- Homecoming ticket sales during lunches in cafeteria (4th-6th hour)
- Powder puff football game 6:00pm at Five Star Stadium. $5 to get into the game. Forms to participate are in room 530-B. Forms are due by September 4th.
Thursday, September 17th
Spirit day: Throwback Thursday-choose an era and dress up from that time
- Homecoming ticket sales during lunches in cafeteria (4th-6th hour)
- Bring $1 to get three balls to throw at a dunk tank to try to dunk THS Administrators after school (3:10 out front of THS)
Friday, September 18th Spirit day: Battle of the classes
9th- wear gray
10th-wear white
11th-wear blue
12th-wear black
- Homecoming ticket sales during lunches in cafeteria (4th-6th hour)
Saturday, September 19th
Homecoming Dance Theme: Candy Land
Location: Thornton High School Gymnasium
Time: 7-10pm
- Guest passes are also in the main office. Guest passes are due Sept. 16th turn in to Student Relations.
Homecoming Dance Attendance Window Expectations:
The homecoming window starts on August 24th at 7:40am and goes through September 11th at 3:10pm. Excused absences do not count against students. 3 unexcused tardies will result in an unexcused absence. The attendance window determines if students are eligible to attend the dance!
