It took me awhile to find teaching, but now that I'm here I can't imagine doing anything else. In my mid-twenties, I got a job working as an Elementary school librarian for in DPS and loved it. I enrolled in a teacher certification program, but deferred for two years so that I could teach in Mongolia. Living overseas taught me more about the human and cultural element of teaching than any of my education courses. I'm now in my 8th year of teaching and couldn't be happier to be here at Thornton HS teaching Junior and Senior English.
