I am an English Language Development teacher at Thornton High School. I primarily work with Newcomer and entering level English language learners but I also work with other levels. I am a mother of three sons and a grandmother of three grandsons. My family has lived in Colorado for 7 generations so I guess you might say I am a native Coloradan. I became a teacher later in life and have taught in many areas/subjects for almost 20 years now. I am endorsed in Spanish, English, Special Education, Culturally and Linguistically diverse Education and Elementary Education. I have taught at all grade levels and have been a teacher in Adams 12 for the last 12 years. I completed my B.A. in Spanish with a minor in special education at Metropolitan State University of Denver and a master's program in Culturally-Linguistically Diverse Education through The Bueno Center Program at The University of Colorado-Boulder.
